Julia Munrow trained at RADA and her directing credits include Game of Fools, Woe From Wit, Eisenstein in Action at the Riverside Studios, and Lickers and Kickers for Theatre of the Moving Image for which she won an Arts Council Award.
Julia was Artistic Director of MOMI Actors and directed the Playback Company featured on LWT's Night Life series. For the National Film Theatre she has written Silent Women?, News From No-man's Land and Black in the Frame (BFI/Tricycle Theatre).
Further writing for stage includes adaptations of Margaret Forster's Have The Men Had Enough? and Margaret Drabble's The Needle's Eye, Non-swimmers (King's Head) and Suspended Lives (commissioned by Tara Arts). Her novel Please Don't Keep In Touch was shortlisted for the Woman's Fiction award (Creative Print Publishing).
She has additionally acted in various TV, film and theatrical productions including Sight Test (London Independent), Dear Anne Frank (Qualia), Great Balls Of Fire (directed by Jim McBride), Elisabeth II in Love Again (BBC), Mercy in Mankind (BBC1) Letters from Chechnya (BBC).
