What's the difference between TED, TEDx and TEDxLambeth?

TED is the big brother in the family: in summary, it started in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment and design came together, and today covers almost all topics in more than 100 languages. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED created a programme called TEDx. TEDx events are independently organised from within communities. As non-profit organisations they are devoted to spreading ideas and are true to the TED Mission. While TED general guidelines for the TEDx programme, individual TEDx events, including TEDxLambeth, are self-organised.
